It bear several labels: White label with locality information handwritten in black ink; White label with collector’s name printed in black ink; Red label “Type 18494 U.S.N.M.”; White label with black lines around edges and handwritten in black ink “Simulium glaucophthlamun Knab”; White label printed in black ink “HOLOTYPE of …Examined A.J.Shelley 1988” and handwritten in black ink “Simulium glaucophthalamum Knab”; White label handwritten in black ink “SYNONYM of S. exiguum Roubaud Ecamined A.J.Shelley 1988”; White label handwritten in black ink “abdomen, wing and 3 legs on slide”.
